Soluble cluster of differentiation 146 (sCD146) is a cell adhesion molecule that is secreted in the intercellular junction of endothelial cells mediating interaction with other cells or extracellular matrix.sCD146 is involved in the control of vessel integrity, while its release is potentially dependent on endothelial cell stretch.This makes sCD146 a potential marker for congestion.
